Montgomery Surgical Center

The Montgomery Surgical Center is located on the first floor of the 85,000 square foot Taylor Medical Complex on the Baptist Medical Center East campus.

Founded in 1984 by a group of local physicians, the Montgomery Surgical Center became the first freestanding surgery center licensed in the state of Alabama serving on average 250 patients per month.

With state-of-the-art, integrated operating rooms and two expanded endoscopy suites, the Taylor Medical Complex provided much needed space for growing clinical services. Montgomery Surgical Center serves an average of 1,000 patients per month through 16 pre-operative bays, eight state-of-the art operating rooms, two Endoscopy rooms, and 19 recovery bays, along with an on-site business office and convenient waiting areas.

Advanced procedures, improved medical technologies and new methods of post op pain management allow all patients to go home the same day. Montgomery Surgical Center is a multi-specialty facility offering general surgery, gastroenterology, gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, otolaryngology (ENT), plastics and pain management procedures.

The Montgomery Surgical Center is fully accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).
