Montgomery Surgical Center

The Montgomery Surgical Center is situated on the first floor of the 85,000-square-foot Taylor Medical Complex, located on the Baptist Medical Center East campus. Founded in 1984 by a group of local physicians, the Montgomery Surgical Center became the first freestanding surgery center licensed in the state of Alabama, serving an average of 250 patients per month. 

With state-of-the-art integrated operating rooms and two expanded endoscopy suites, the Taylor Medical Complex offers essential space for growing clinical services. The Montgomery Surgical Center now serves approximately 1,000 patients per month, utilizing 16 pre-operative bays, eight advanced operating rooms, two endoscopy suites, and 19 recovery bays, in addition to an on-site business office and comfortable waiting areas. 

Thanks to advanced procedures, improved medical technologies, and innovative methods of post-operative pain management, all patients can return home on the same day of their surgery. This multi-specialty facility offers services in general surgery, gastroenterology, gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, otolaryngology (ENT), plastic surgery, and pain management. 

The Montgomery Surgical Center is fully accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).
