Harold W. Cox, MD

Dr. Harold Cox graduated from the University of South Alabama School of Medicine and completed his residency training at the Jackson Hospital UAB Montgomery Family Medicine Residency Program in 1988. Following residency he practiced traditional office based medicine until he joined MFMRP as a faculty member in 2007. Outside of medicine his focus is his family, his church and medical missions. Each year Dr. Cox takes a group from his church including residents to an underserved area in South America or Haiti. His particular family medicine interests include diabetes mellitus and attention deficit disorder. He also strives to help residents to provide compassionate care for the whole patient to meet the patient's physical, mental and spiritual needs
