About Me
Dr. M. Belen Rojas Gallegos received her medical degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador in Quito, Ecuador. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, Alabama and a fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, she is a proud member of the North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Rojas Gallegos has received numerous awards and honors such as Outstanding Professionalism Award and Best Medical Student Educator Award during residency, Four-time Outstanding Academic Performance recognition and Magna Cum Laude distinction in Medical School.
With a special passion for taking care of complex patients and chronic conditions, Dr. Rojas Gallegos’ clinical interests and procedures include: Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Celiac Disease, Milk and Food allergies, Feeding Disorders, Nutritional Management, Failure to Thrive (Faltering Growth), Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), Infections of the Gastrointestinal System, Liver Diseases, Acute and Chronic Pancreatitis, Endoscopies, Liver Biopsies FibroScans, Esophageal Dilations, PH Impedance, Capsule Endoscopy and Gastrostomy Tube (G Tube) Placements.
