About Me

Dr. Rachid Souleye earned his medical degree from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. He furthered his education with an OBGYN internship at Beaumont Health in Dearborn, Michigan, and then, changing course, completed a Residency in Occupational Medicine at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. Dr. Souleye is board-certified in Preventive and Occupational Medicine and is a distinguished member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. He previously served as the president of the Kentucky Occupational and Environmental Medicine Society. Dr. Souleye is a specialist in Occupational Safety and Health regulations, and medical record keeping, and oversees drug testing for both federal and non-federal programs. He is also certified in Lifestyle Medicine with a focus on preventing chronic diseases.

Outside of work, Dr. Souleye enjoys spending time with his family and friends, engaging in activities like boating, fishing, camping, water sports, and traveling, with a special fondness for visiting different beaches. 

As the Medical Director for Baptist Health Occupational Medicine, Dr. Souleye is eager to assist workplaces in Central Alabama in maintaining a safe and healthy environment. He is committed to helping employees recover from work-related injuries quickly, enabling them to continue their work duties and participate in daily life activities.
