About Me
Dr. Gupta graduated from Government Medical College Bhavnagar in India. He completed his residency training at MFMRP and served as Chief Resident during his third year of residency. He also has a Master's in Public Health (MPH – Epidemiology) from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. He joined MFMRP as faculty in January 2012. His other accomplishments include the UAB Healthcare Leadership Academy and NIPDD fellowship. Dr. Gupta also serves as Clerkship Director for Family Medicine with UAB School of Medicine – Montgomery Campus.
His special interests in family medicine are ambulatory medicine and hospital medicine. His teaching philosophy is “to prepare competent and compassionate family physicians for the community”. Outside of medicine, Dr. Gupta enjoys playing tennis and traveling. He and his wife are blessed with a son and a daughter.
