RN Refresher Program
The Baptist Health RN Refresher Program is designed to help RNs refresh their nursing knowledge and clinical skills before returning to the bedside. If you are a registered nurse with an active Alabama (or compact) license and have been out of the hospital setting for 5 years or more, you may be eligible for this program.
Simply apply online for the RN Refresher Program when you apply for any full-time or part-time nursing position. You will be compensated while participating in the program. A 1-year contract with Baptist Health is required; internal transfer is available after 6 months if desired. LPN and PRN nurses are not eligible for the program. This program is powered by the nationally-ranked UNC-Chapel Hill School of Nursing and the Friday Center for Continuing Education.

Course Modules
The online Baptist Health RN Refresher Program, developed by UNC-Chapel Hill, is designed to refresh nursing skills and prepare someone to return to the field. The Theory Course consists of 24 modules, each with two main components:
- The textbook chapter provides detailed content necessary for understanding the learning outcomes for each module.
- The online module outlines the learning outcomes and includes interactive learning activities, additional in-depth and evidence-based notes, and key points that support the learning outcomes. Every module culminates in an exam that assesses your mastery of the learning outcomes.
