About MFMRP

Our medium-sized program allows for direct connections with our faculty and an environment highly conducive to personal growth. You will be part of a team that takes ownership in their program, allowing us to achieve our core values of:

- Excellence in Patient Care

- Excellence in Education

- Leadership in Our Community and Beyond

Location, Location, Location

We are an 8-8-8 program located in the capital city of Montgomery, AL and that strategic location will influence your residency experience in a dynamic way. Located in Central Alabama and surrounded by other suburban and rural communities. Montgomery Family Medicine Residency Program’s close proximity to these outlying areas ensures that our residents have consistent exposure to both suburban and rural medicine for a full spectrum family medicine education model.

What Should I Expect?

Excellence in training and the achievement of resident comfort in every practice setting are the gold standards of our program, and you will leave us with both in hand. Our program graduates exemplify this through post-graduate career service ranging from traditional private practice to emergency room medicine, geriatrics, family medicine with obstetrics, urgent care, hospitalist roles and more.

Expansive Education Model

Montgomery Family Medical Residency Program serves as a clinical site for pharmacology and psychology students with a pediatrician and a Pharm.D faculty member. Working with the students of these established programs will afford you teaching experience while creating additional education in these disciplines.

Our Impact

Montgomery Family Medicine Residency Program provides the largest amount of primary care in our system with over 31,000 patient visits annually through office and hospital services. With patients ranging from birth to over 100 years old, our office services include ownership of our own pediatric and obstetric hospital services and in-office OB. Our healthcare system, Baptist Health, provides full sports medicine services to two local universities, allowing you to be directly involved as a collegiate sports physician if you so desire.

Applications

We accept applications only through ERAS, and we are here to answer any questions you might have. We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and we look forward to connecting with you soon.
