What Do We Offer?
- Independent, program-run Family Medicine Service which includes ICU management, cardiac stress testing and medical consulting.
- On-site multidisciplinary care team comprised of a Clinical Pharmacist, Dietician and Social Worker.
- Exposure to a large, inclusive, culturally diverse patient population with over 31,000 clinic and inpatient visits annually.
- Various educational methods in resident training include lectures, case presentations, journal articles, online reviews, self-assessment modules, independent learning projects, quality improvement projects, and scholarly activities.
- More than 500 physicians in the Montgomery/River Region area have privileges at the Baptist Health facilities and are very supportive of our program and our residents.
- Residents work with faculty and outside attendings doing surgery and surgical procedures.
- In-office procedures include ultrasound training, IUD and Nexplanon insertion, endometrial biopsy, skin biopsies and cryosurgery.
- Graduates of MFMRP have taken what they have learned in their training here into their practices which include ER medicine, traditional office-based medicine, hospital medicine, geriatrics, urgent care settings and academic medicine.
